My brother and I have both been using XP for over a year
along with Netmeeting and it's been working perfectly.
Several days ago I upgraded to SP2 without a hitch.
Afterwards I had no trouble using the voice communication
feature of Netmeeting with my brother. The XP firewall
is turned off since I have used ZoneAlarm for years and
am happy with it. (We use Netmeeting voice because we've
never been able to make Messenger voice work along with
ZoneAlarm.)
Yesterday my brother upgraded to SP2. He also turned off
the XP firewall because he uses ZoneAlarm as well.
After the upgrade we could sort of connect through
Netmeeting but there was an unbearable 1 minute delay in
the voice and his side kept saying "Trying to connect"
although my side said "In a call".
So he rolled back his system to before the upgrade using
system restore. Now we can't get any voice with or
without a delay although it does say "In a call" on both
sides and Desktop sharing does work.
Any ideas to help us out?
Thanks.
