How do I reset the password in remote desktop?

It depends on what operating system is on the remote machine. But the first
step is getting physical access to the machine and its desktop(or virtual
access via some other process).

I have access to the actual machine(I am sitting infront
of it now) and I am running Windows ME.

If you can't remember the password (it is required to access change the
password in NM), the easiest thing to do may be to uninstall NetMeeting and
install a fresh version.
