When does this box come up? On startup of NetMeeting? When a call is
accepted? During configuration? Or? What exactly does the box say?

The message comes up say "This program has performed an illegal operation
and will be shut down.
If the problem persists contact program vendor"
It usually comes up when I am in conference and I immediately loose touch
with the other caller.

And it identifies the program as "conf.exe"?

What operating system are you using? Camera?

The most likely cause is a faulty software driver for your camera or sound
card. Do you have a camera ?-- Do you have the latest software drivers for
the camera and the sound card?

Having a conference without your camera running might be worth a try -- it
might help you determine if it is implicated.
