I have been using netmeeting for quite some time to access
my computer at work from my computer at home. Work is
Windows 2000 Pro and home is XP Home. I connect to work
via a VPN connection and then start Netmeeting and
connect. Now after I have connected vis VPN and started
Netmeeting, when I click the Send Ctrl+Alt+Del nothing
happens, I do not get the login screen to my PC at work. I
have double checked my settings at home and work and have
found nothing. Other people I work with who Netmeeting in
from home are not experiencing this problem. I have NOT
loaded service pack 2 for XP on my home computer. Any
Ideas of things to look for would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Mike

I just ran into this using XP (no sp2 pack installed yet)-
-the apparent no response when Send Ctrl+Alt+Del menu
command used.

However, I'm wondering whether we need to wait longer for
response...as doing this twice will provoke a shutdown of
the host computer. At least that's my theory until I can
stop by the office tomorrow and check.

Did you wait a good while to see whether your command
took or did you try it 2 or 3 times as I did only to halt
and then try again to get the message that my work
machine was not answering/accepting me??

Perhaps that safety feature we're using doesn't work with
XP? I've checked everywhere and can't get beyond this
problem.

Help us, anyone...

I don't think more than one ctrl-alt-del will have the effect you are
indicating on XP(I assume when you are speaking XP-- you are talking about
the other end?)

There have been problems reported with some screen savers that are password
protected but no other anomolies that I remember.

I haven't noticed any issues.
